South Portland Land Trust Celebrates GivingTuesday with 24 Hours of Gratitude, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement on November 29, 2022
South Portland, Maine, November 16, 2022 – This GivingTuesday, South Portland Land Trust will inspire generosity with 24 Hours of Gratitude on their social media pages.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on November 29, 2022, and throughout the year.
“South Portland Land Trust is excited to join Giving Tuesday this November,” said Membership & Engagement Manager, Dana Bettez. “We look forward to sharing what our organization is grateful for, and hope that it inspires our community to support us in any way they can–by signing up to volunteer with us, joining our Board, becoming involved as a trail steward, or donating to our organization.”
GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
People demonstrate generosity in many ways on GivingTuesday. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving to causes we care about, every act of generosity counts.
