Citywide Clean Up

Saturday, April 25th, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Mill Creek Park

Join the SPLT for a our annual citywide clean up!
Check in at our table located in Mill Creek Park (across from Hannaford), pick up your supplies, and head out to a pre-assigned location across the city to clean up. We will also show you where to leave your trash bags for pick up. This is a family-friendly event!

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged; you may also check-in on the day-of at our table.

Are you a local business that is interested in coordinating your own clean up? Or maybe you know a business that is interested in hosting a SPLT event? Maybe you’re a business owner looking to support the Land Trust’s April events?

Earth Day Resource Fair

Saturday, april 25th 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Stop by our second table in the City’s Resource Fair from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. We’ll have maps, information about SPLT, and share ways to get involved with our organization!

Join the fun and celebrate nature, get resources from sustainable organizations, meet like-minded people in your community, and clean up the city! This fair is a partnership between the City of South Portland, the South Portland Land Trust, and Dirigo Science Connection.

Fair Highlights:

  • Connect with over 40 Eco-focused Community Groups with activities for both kids and adults

  • Enjoy music from The Pine Tones and The Truth About Daisies

  • Contribute to a mural

  • Participate in a Community Clean-up

  • Visit Maine animals with Sparks Ark

  • Learn about recreational opportunities, climate initiatives, and how you can live a more sustainable life

  • Food trucks will be available for lunch

  • Celebrate nature!

Spring Clean Up with Jar Co.

Thursday, April 22nd 1:00-3:00 PM

SPLT will be leading Jar Co. volunteers on a trail cleanup outing and Jar Co and SPLT invite any and all community members to join us for this fun and productive event.

Please fill out registration form on our website (coming soon!) if you can but, if you can't - just show up! Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty and sturdy footwear.

Clark's Pond trail head is located to the right of Home Depot. Look for the Kiosk and shed, both of which are right by the trail head.
