The City of South Portland boasts over 525 acres of park land (of which 300 are actively maintained). Bug Light Park, Spring Point and the city’s newest park, Thomas Knight Park, all offer terrific views of Portland Harbor and the Portland Skyline. Here you can relax and enjoy the invigorating Maine sea breeze. If you’d like to dip your toes in the sand, we recommend taking a stroll along Willard Beach, with its inspirational views of Portland Head Light and the islands that dot Casco Bay.
For a change of pace, head a few miles inland and discover Hinckley Park with its two fresh water ponds and equally refreshing woodland trails.
