The SPLT Earth Day Clean Up 2012 Saturday, April 21st at 8:30 am

Help Clean Up our Trails, Shorelines, Beaches and Parks

Time: Registration begins at 8:30am and event ends at 11:30 am.

Where: Sign-in and receive bags, gloves and instructions at:

  • Mill Creek Park (across from Hannaford’s)

Special West End Clean Up: In cooperation with Community Partnerships for Protecting Children(CPPC), the SPLT will center a clean up in the west end at the Red Bank Community Center. The SPLT is supporting the CPPC's practical and ideal goals of home and land stewardship--including sustainable recycling in the West End--and of generating a healthy and proud West End identity that supports businesses, families, and children.

Who's Participating: This event is meant for everyone as it provides us all an opportunity to celebrate Earth Day in a meaningful and useful way.

Volunteers will include individuals, families and crews from the SPLT Board, SPLT members, Community Partnerships For Protecting Children, Norway Savings Bank, Saco & Biddeford Savings, Girl Scouts of Maine, Rotary Club of Breakwater Daybreak, the U.S. Coast Guard, SoPo Dog Owner's Group, South Portland Conservation Commission, and the City of South Portland.

Get Your Group's Name on the List! If you or your group would like to participate, let us know and we will add your group's name to our final flyers and announcements. Register on the day of the event at one of the locations below.
